  • In cases where seafarer’s documentation is not in accordance with the 2010 Manila Amendments to the STCW convention and code; taking into account the provisions of MSC.1/Circ.1560; Panama Administration vide merchant marine notice MN-01/2017 (copy attached) has advised Recognized Organizations to take lenient approach while assessing compliance with provisions of ISM code and not to considered this issue as non-conformity, until 1 July 2017.
  • This Notice is not to be considered as an extension to comply with the 2010 Manila amendments to STCW convention.
  • Ship owners / operators and masters are advised to be guided by above.
