• International Association of Classification Society (IACS) has published Recommendation No. 151 (copy attached) providing recommendation for the treatment of fuel oil onboard ships.

• The Recommendation aims to improve the operational safety of the vessel by improving reliability of the oil fuelled machineries onboard ships.

• Masters, Chief Engineers and ship managers are advised to be guided by the attached IACS Recommendation.
